Because Billy Black is one of the few Quileutes who is not a werewolf, your role adds a different level of complexity. What did you add to your character in order to seamlessly connect with Jacob’s character as well as the rest of the werewolf clan?
Billy simply loves his son and his family (tribe). Billy is the wise tribal leader, who, because he isn’t a werewolf, understands the dangers and complexities of the “tentative” peace between the Cullens and the Quileute tribe. He knows the dangers that the Cullens present to Bella and others. Billy is the glue that holds the tribe and its traditions together.
In what ways are you and Billy Black similar?
We’re both “down with the kids.” We both have a genuine compassion for the human condition. We both recharge our souls with Mother Nature, and we both keep it real.

The New Moon cast pratar om Chris och Catherine
Peter Facinelli told the A.T.:
"When we shot Twilight, it felt like it was an indie. We were racing the clock. Catherine [Hardwicke] was fantastic, but with New Moon it felt like we had more time to play. The atmospheres were different. They were both great...in their own ways. I just think New Moon is going to be incredible."
Michael Welch also told us how better prepared they were to film from day one.
"When we all got on the set the first day, [Chris Weitz] gave us this packet of 30 to 40 pages of what he wanted the film to look and feel like—how he was going to shoot it, all of that stuff. The thing is, both Chris and Catherine—I don't want to say one is better than the other. They are polar opposites in terms of style. Catherine can only succeed in chaos, really. But Chris is the exact opposite; he's so calm and has all his stuff together. He really made this film great."
Contrary to some reports out there, Christian Serratos dished that New Moon is "still really close to the book, but it's hard to explain.

"Italy was intense," Ashley Greene marveled. "We literally all had two bodyguards and drivers, and we couldn't walk and had to be driven around the set. It was because there were thousands of girls that came in from everywhere in the world to see [Pattinson]. ... They would sleep over and stay the night outside our hotel gate. It was nuts."
"Every second of Rob's life is watched now," Kellan Lutz added, saying that Rob has had to adjust some habits to handle the increased scrutiny. "I'm sure he's careful for everything he's doing."
"I've talked to Rob about it, and he's just paranoid all the time now," Peter Facinelli revealed, admitting that the newfound fame does sometimes become difficult for his onscreen son. "Like, even to go down to the Starbucks, he's ducking behind cars and does a roll-flip to the coffee shop. Then he gets up, and there's nobody there — but then the one time that he doesn't do that, that's when there's like 10,000 paparazzi jumping out of the bushes."
"It's hard," agreed his onscreen wife, Elizabeth Reaser.

“I always tell him, ‘You remind me of Dr. Cullen,’ because he’s very thoughtful and always thinking and always calming,” he said. “If there’s any chaos going on, you can look to him and it’s all calm, so he really is Dr. Carlisle Cullen.”
“He even started wearing scarves,” Facinelli continued. “I was like, ‘Hey, you’re stealing my thing, man.’ “

So you're totally done?
Kellan Lutz: "Yeah, I'm done with New Moon. I'm doing Nightmare on Elm Street right now."
What happened on New Moon? Do we get to see more of you than we actually did in the book?
Kellan Lutz: "You'll have to see. I had a lot of fun shooting that. It was so much fun. There's a lot more of the Cullens in it, which was really nice. But we do stick pretty tight to the book."
So how was Chris Weitz as a director?
Kellan Lutz: "Amazing. So chill. Being an actor in the second movie with all the weight off of your shoulders was really fun to look forward to. And then working with such a chill, mellow director - he was just so much fun to work with. So easygoing. And he had everything planned out so whenever we had a question as an actor, especially with our characters or the scene, he had answers right away."
Was it easier this time becuase you do know what to expect, you know what the fans are going to be like?
Kellan Lutz: "Yeah. There was a lot of weight on our shoulders for the first one because we're stepping in these shoes that the fans kind of envisioned their own person playing these roles. And for us to bring them to life and to hope and pray and cross our fingers that they approve, in a way, so we had the chance to do more movies and bring the books to life - it's up to them. If they didn't support us as much as they did, we wouldn't be here doing New Moon."
And you're ready for the third one, right, in August?
Kellan Lutz: "I can't wait."

“It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we’re going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know.”
And the rest of the cast? “It was quite intimidating being on the set with so many young, beautiful people. That was quite extraordinary being the old, ugly one amongst loads of young, beautiful ones. It’s not something I’m used to really. Not because I’m young and beautiful but usually there’s loads of old, ugly people around me. It was quite encouraging to see how Robert and Kristin are committed to it, how much they put into it and how serious they are about it. They don’t take it lightly at all so that was great to see.”

IESB: How did you became a part of Twilight? Did you just go through the regular auditioning process for it?
Christian: Yeah. I just got a call from my agent about this film, and I thought I should probably do my homework and figure out what it was all about. And, that’s when I saw the slight obsession with it. I was like, “Oh, don’t screw this up,” and I did. I flew all the way from Minden, Nevada, ‘cause I was living out there, at the time. I completely messed up the audition, but I guess (director) Catherine Hardwicke knew what she wanted, and she had faith in me and brought me back in. I just flat-out blew the audition. Because I did do my homework, I realized how big it was and I think it psyched me out.IESB: Was Angela the character that you had always auditioned for, or did you read for anyone else?
Christian: I was originally called in for Jessica (played by Anna Kendrick). There was a lot of mixes and matches, and chemistry reads. They kept calling me in for Jessica, but at the last minute, they were like, “Can you read for Angela?,” and I was like, “Oh, yeah, totally!” I was really excited because I really liked that character. I wear glasses. The glasses I wear in the film, I’ve worn. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was little. So, I put my glasses on and I put my hair up in a ponytail for the audition. And then, I went up to film and we were talking about looks for the different characters, and Catherine told me that she liked my glasses and ponytail, so she said, “We’re gonna keep it.”IESB: How much of Angela will audiences get to see in New Moon?
Christian: They’re going to be pleasantly surprised, through the whole movie. I think they’re going to get enough of everyone. I don’t think anyone is going to wish they had more. I think they’re going to be really happy.Peter Facinellis officiella hemsida

Did you approach Demetri’s character with a specific agenda in mind, as in to make him scary, yet appealing or simply frightening?
Demetri is a lethal killer with a pretense of charm. Actually, pretense is a little harsh - he genuinely is a Casanova of life, and this might be his biggest weapon.
Felix and Demetri both carry huge threats in our individual powers: Felix is the enforcer; Demetri is the cat to the mouse… thrill of the chase, yada. But it’s when you know you are the best, unrivaled for so long… complacent, almost arrogantly threatening becomes you; so couple that with centuries of acquired knowledge and experience… that’s a whole other level of danger.
Which member of the Volturi do you think the audience will find the most frightening?
Dakota. Jane. Both, in fact, are a little unnerving.
Do you have anything more you’d like to share with Twilight Fans?
I don’t really rollerblade…Much.
